DAY 2: Athens

Join our Athens Mythological tour & get to the heart of the ancient world by exploring Athens’ landmark sites through timeless myths. Uncover fascinating stories from ancient Greek mythology, decode their meaning and the real-life events hidden behind them! After breakfast, you will be met by your guide, who will take you on a walking tour of the Athens highlights such as the Acropolis (The Parthenon, theater of Dionysus, Temple of Athena Nike, Temple of Erechtheion, and the Sanctuary of Asclepius), Olympian Zeus’ temple, the Ancient Agora and the temple of Hephaestus. Alongside an entertaining guide, visit major landmarks and listen to the captivating myths that surround each stop. Hear tales that combine myth, legend and historical fact; and gain valuable insight into the culture of modern and ancient Greece on this educational tour.

DAY 3: Athens to Hydra

After breakfast you will be transferred to Piraeus port
to catch your ferry heading to Hydra island. Upon
arrival get to your hotel, located within walking
distance from the port. Stroll around the island for the next 3 days, get impressed by its architecture and taste local delicacies in one of the local taverns. Still largely undiscovered by tourists, you’ll be astonished by its virgin landscape, splendid neoclassical mansions and rich history. Having been a filming location of “A girl in black” and “Boy on a dolphin” movies, as well as a holiday destination for Leonard Cohen, Hydra stands out for its classy beauty!

DAY 4: Hydra

Hydra is a strikingly beautiful island in the Argo Saronic Gulf with a rich history which comes to life as your local tour leader Maria walks you back through time. You will learn about the island’s history and how after 400 years of Ottoman rule, it played a crucial role in the revolution leading to Greek independence in 1821. By 1820, Hydra was one of the richest locales in the Mediterranean, fortunes having been amassed through shipbuilding and trade. In their passionate desire for independence many of Hydra’s admirals, political figures and sailors sacrificed these fortunes for the cause.

DAY 5: Hydra

You will have day at leisure to explore the town or to enjoy your hotel facilities.
Don’t miss…
In the 1960, Canadian musician and poet Leonard Cohen bought a whitewashed house on Hydra for just $1,500. Although initially, it had no running water or electricity, it ended up being his home for seven years allowing him to write some of his best songs and novels as Marianne Ihlen’s and his romantic love story played out in real life. The house is now one of the most visited sites on the island. Cosmopolitan and chic, Hydra is sure to win your heart with its refined architecture. The picturesque port is dotted with lavish, pastel-hued mansions that date back to the late 18th century when the island experienced huge economic and cultural growth. Unlike other islands in the Saronic Gulf, Hydra is known for its marvellous although mostly pebbled beaches with crystalline waters. Some, like the rocky Hydroneta, are within walking distance of Hydra town, while others may like the secluded, unspoiled Bisti – can only be accessed by taxi boat.

DAY 6: Hydra to Spetses

After breakfast you will walk to Hydra port to catch your ferry heading to Spetses island. The rest of the day and evening you are at your leisure to explore the town of Spetses. Along the waterfront are small tavernas and cafés, while behind in the winding streets are luxury boutiques that rival prices of the European fashion capitals. Should you be looking for a decadent beach purchase, this is the spot for you! Evenings can be easily spent strolling through this area. The old harbour, which is a 15-minute stroll away, offers more tavernas and shops.

DAY 7: Spetses

Round Spetses Cycling Tour

This Cycling Tour is designed to show you all of
Spetses in 4 hours. We begin cycling through the old harbour and then eastwards leaving the town. We will be making three main stops at each quarter of the island every seven or so kilometers. During these stops there will be a brief discussion on information about Spetses and also a chance to rehydrate. The largest stop will be half way around where we will visit Agioi Anargyroi beach where one can swim. There we will also visit the spectacular Bekyris Cave. The last quarter break finds us above Zogeria bay where we have a spectacular view of it from above and finally we will enter the town to conclude the lap.

DAY 8: Spetses

You will have day at leisure to explore the town or to enjoy your hotel facilities.
Don’t miss…
Spetses is home to one of the oldest lighthouses in Greece. Located east of the main town and past the old harbor, it is an easy walk that takes around 45 minutes from the main town. Located in the center of the main town is a special museum dedicated to one of Greece’s naval heroines, Laskarina Bouboulina. Bouboulina is said to be the first-ever female admiral in the world. The museum is located in a 300-year-old mansion that once belonged to Bouboulina.
As well, there are many rooftop and beachside bars to enjoy a relaxing evening as the sun sets on the island.

DAY 9: Spetses to Nafplio

Your ferry will transfer you to Peloponnese peninsula, where your private car will be waiting for you to transfer you to Nafplio. On your arrival in Nafplio check in at your hotel and later in the evening enjoy a private guided walking tour, visiting the most important spots of the city! Walk in the picturesque alleys of Nafplio, visit the
most popular sites and experience its best parts with a local licensed guide. Look for traces of the Franks, Venetians and Ottomans in the architecture of the city, while enjoying the overwhelming scents of basil and jasmine that surround the city.

DAY 10:  Nafplio

Starting from the old city of Nafplio we follow a coastal hiking route overlooking the Argolic gulf and we reach a long sandy beach with crystal clear waters. We visit 2 cozy orthodox chapels that reveal the local secrets, and we relax in one of them and enjoy some local snacks by the sea After an optional stop for swimming, we return back to Nafplio full of smells, tastes and great memories from the marvelous landscapes of Argolis.
