DAY 3

Montserrat Day Trip

DAY 7

Malaga to Madrid

Meet your transfer this morning for your quick flight from Malaga to Madrid. 

Madrid, Spain’s central capital, is a city of elegant boulevards and expansive, manicured parks such as the Buen Retiro. It’s renowned for its rich repositories of European art, including the Prado Museum’s works by Goya, Velazquez and other Spanish masters. The heart of old Hapsburg Madrid is the portico-lined Plaza Mayor, the nearby is the baroque Royal Palace and Armory, displaying historic weaponry. 

Or see if you can find Madrid’s Puerta del Sol square, home to the center from which all of Spain’s six major roads originate. This little-known fact is marked by a plaque that reads “Kilometer 0”. Thousands of people walk over the plaque every day, not realiing that they are standing in the feographical center of Spain. 

DAY 9

Madrid – Cooking Class

Greet your gastronomical guide at Torrijos market in central Madrid and browse the colourful array of stalls for appetizing ingredients. 

Then, stroll into the cookery school within the market with your small group to begin your cooking class. Gain insight into Spain’s rich culinary heritage from your knowledgeable instructor, learning about the locally-sourced ingredients that are featured in recipes handed down from generations.

Prepare ingredients for signature dishes like paella, a flavorsome rice dish made with seafood and meat, gazpacho, a refreshing cold soup made from ripe tomatoes, and tortilla de patatas, the Spanish omelet. 

After completing your dishes, settle down to enjoy the fruit of your labour, alongside your group and guide.
